I had the pleasure of working with this lovely team over the last month.
After talking to my client, I developed and agreed a bespoke programme that targeted making sure time in meetings was time well spent, one-touch and with productive energy throughout!
Building Effective Meeting Skills Through Team Development
A key focus was on maximising individual and team effectiveness in meetings as part of their team development. Basically, my client wanted their team to be sharp and delivering high value results from all their meeting interactions!
Using clear formats for successful attendee involvement and ensuring a clear understanding of outcomes and how to get there, with some hands on practise to embed the theories :)
Running Structured and Productive Meetings
Clear Communication and Meeting Purpose
The team were introduced to some effective habits and techniques for personal communication to develop a clear understanding of how to approach meetings with a defined purpose and confidence.
Managing Agenda and Meeting Flow
Once we had that part identified and practised, the next area was the actual meeting itself. A key point, being ensuring agenda points were covered thoroughly and next steps summarised and locked.
Closing Meetings with Clear Outcomes
Closing a meeting with impact is a crucial part of the process too. Ensuring that everyone is clear on next steps, what is going to happen who is doing them and by when. It's surprising how often this doesn't get locked down effectively but that's a whole other story!
Embedding Skills Through Practice
Through the course of our session, we practised, did some role plays and embedded the routines and behaviours for effective meeting success!
And, as always, we like to have some fun in my workshops. It makes the whole learning experience enjoyable and brings a very positive energy to a team. What do you think, did these guys have fun?!
